The Jerk Cookout London event this year is on Sunday 15th August 2010, from 12pm – 6pm, and this year is being held at Brockwell Park. Admission to the event as per usual is free. If you have ever been to the Jerk Cookout over the past few years, you will know that it has outgrown the gardens at it’s previous Horniman’s museum Gardens in Forest Hill.
What effect will moving the event to the much larger Brockwell Park have on the atmosphere of the Jerk festival? Well if the Lambeth Country Show held there a few weeks ago is anything to go by, the atmosphere will be just as fun filled and with much more room to spread out, and it’s more central location, more and more families will be able to enjoy a packed day. With any luck the queues for the food will be a lot shorter as well, with the venue able to hold much larger and more stalls.
